Marion & Victor, nursery growers in Brittany

  Marion, Swiss by nationality, has been in Brittany since 2021. She graduated in Environmental Social and Human Sciences from the University of Lausanne in 2018.

  After her studies, she helped create and develop Légumes Perchés, an urban agriculture start-up, gaining skills in management, organisation and teaching.

  In parallel, she completed permaculture design training (CCP) and ongoing Silviva FSEA training, earning her facilitator qualification in late 2020.

  Between 2020 and 2021, she cycled from Switzerland to France, training on organic farms in the craft of farming.

  Through this journey and these varied experiences, she fell in love with rural life, daily contact with the land and plants. She found a passion among the giants: trees.

  « The catalyst was a week-long hike in the Abers region on the north coast of Finistère, in the summer of 2019. I was at the mouth of the aber Wrac'h, sitting among a diversity of birds and iodine-scented air. I was resting when nature embraced me. Since then, the quest to be part of the natural cycle, to live within it. That is where I feel fulfilled; that is where my life makes sense. »

  Victor lived in the Vercors from September 2019 to July 2020, where he experimented with and trained in agroecology.

  In July 2020, he set out on a journey working on around ten farms until April 2023.

  He spent eight months at Ferme des Sources in Creuse, a diversified micro-farm, which gave him a broad understanding of agricultural life and rural crafts.
